Pelvic floor therapy helps children and adults regain control, confidence, and comfort in the most essential areas of life. Whether you're dealing with pelvic pain, bladder or bowel issues, or postpartum recovery, pelvic floor occupational therapy is designed to help you strengthen, relax, and coordinate those all-important pelvic floor muscles that support your organs and regulate bladder and bowel functions.
Using a holistic and personalized approach, pelvic floor therapy guides you through a mix of targeted exercises, hands-on techniques, and behavioral strategies to address your unique needs. You'll not only learn how to manage symptoms like incontinence or discomfort, but you'll also gain a deeper understanding of your body with tools and tips to maintain lasting health.
Common issues for children include: Encopresis, constipation, fear of toilets, holding in urine or bowel movements, leaking, nighttime bedwetting.
Common Issues for adults include: Urinary or fecal incontinence, constipation, pelvic pain, postpartum recovery.
I am trained in the SOS Approach to Feeding (Sequential-Oral-Sensory), a comprehensive, evidence-based program designed to address and improve eating difficulties in children. This method goes beyond just what’s on the plate—it focuses on the whole child, integrating sensory, oral-motor, behavioral, and emotional aspects to help picky eaters and problem feeders explore new foods and learn to enjoy mealtimes again.
At Sensory Explorers, I offer both individual therapy sessions and group-based approaches.
Through play-based interventions and a calm, encouraging environment, I guide children to improve their eating behaviors while helping families feel more confident and supported. Whether you’re dealing with picky eating, food aversions, or more complex feeding challenges, this therapy is designed to make mealtime less stressful and more fun for everyone involved.
At Sensory Explorers, I provide consulting services to schools, organizations, and community groups looking to enhance their approach to sensory wellness, motor development, feeding challenges, and pelvic health. Drawing on over 15 years of experience as an occupational therapist, I offer tailored solutions that are rooted in evidence-based practices and a trauma-informed, client-led approach.
My consulting services include:
Workshops & Training: I deliver engaging, interactive workshops designed to educate staff, caregivers, and educators on key topics such as pediatric development, sensory processing, pelvic floor health, and feeding therapy.
Continuing Education: For schools and organizations, I offer continuing education opportunities that fulfill professional development requirements while also fostering deeper understanding and skills.
